Music
Edgeless Promotions began life as an independent music company based in Trowbridge and Bath, UK – specialising in the promotion of live music events and alternative club nights.
The company was formed in late 2005 by Sam Robson and Liam Baker as the parent company of the Discord club night, and to oversee its expansion from Bath into Trowbridge and Bristol.
Liam first set up the Discord night in 2001, and put on Punk/ Metal gigs in the Bath area during this time, as well as playing across the UK, USA, Europe and Asia with his band 7 Crowns (formerly Tiny Elvis). Sam toured across the UK in the early part of the millennium with his former bands Kaned & Unable and The Heys. He first starting putting on gigs while working for the famous Psychic Pig club in Trowbridge in 2003, and then independently under the banner of Bassment Music in 2004.
The pairs combined experience of playing and promoting shows was a perfect starting point for Edgeless, the aim being to give bands great gigs to play at, and at the same time provide quality live music events for the people of the South West.
Edgeless went from strength to strength through 2007 and regularly promoted shows in Bath, Bristol, Trowbridge, Newport and Yeovil.
In July 2007 Edgeless Promotions promoted the first Minifest, an all day indoor festival featuring some of the UK’s best talent. MiniFest would continue in 2008, expanding to a 2 day festival and featuring in excess of 25 bands from across the globe. Fightstar headlined MiniFest 2008, and the weekend also featured internationally recognised artists including You Me At Six, Architects and Frank Turner.
