Hope everyone's doing well.

 

Just a quick update on what we're up to at the moment as we've not said anything officially for a while.

 

We pulled the plug on Trowbridge Discord in February. After a great first year we were really starting to experience a lack of support for the event (sound familiar?) so had no choice but to stop it. Those needing a Discord fix can still get there's on Wednesday's in Bath and Thursday's in Cardiff.

 

We have started up doing a few small shows again, by the name of Homegrown. These events are monthly at Peewee's Bar in Trowbridge. This is a back to basics local showcase night, only designed to expose some of the best local talent in Wiltshire and sometimes further afield and all for the credit crunch beating price of just £1.

 

And finally, while this has been local knowledge for a while we would like to confrim there will NOT be a MiniFest in 2009. The festival is not over, and we hope too bring it back to The Civic Hall in 2010.

 

 

We've just announced the dates for Discord Trowbridge in 2009, all at The Civic Hall.

 

Things kick off on Friday 13th Feb, then there's a break in April, and then it's the first Friday of every month from May - November.

It is with regret we announce that Edgeless Promotions will no longer be promoting live music events. I have personally been left with huge debts this year due to the companies losses and sadly it is no longer viable to continue. If you have been to shows recently you'll of seen the downturn in attendance. If you haven't been recently, then that's why we're not going anymore.

 

We will still continue to promote the Trowbridge legs of Discord, and MiniFest will hopefully continue long term after a break in 2009.

We'd like to take the chance to thank all those who have supported us during the last 3 years whether band, agent, promoter, venue or audience member. Our last 2 shows are *Shels on Wednesday at Bristol Croft, and Exit Ten at Trowbridge Snooker Club which are a great way to end things.

Edgeless Promotions have 2 special gigs in the South West during November.

 

First up on Friday November 21st, Trowbridge gigs are back! Our first ever show at Trowbridge Snooker Club feature GENGHIS TRON + BEHOLD THE ARCTOPUS, plus local supports to be announced. This is Sam's birthday show, and after the Amen fiasco last year (for which we still haven't got our money back) this should see a return back to the excellent 2006 show featuring Devil Sold His Soul.

 

Then the following week on Wednesday November 26th we have the amazing *SHELS playing at The Croft in Bristol. Tour support comes from THE ASCENT OF EVEREST with again 2 more bands to be confirmed.
